Preston Grove Apartments, located in Savannah, GA, is seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations and help create an exceptional living experience for our residents. This role reports directly to the Community Manager and is available for immediate start.

This position is ideal for someone with multifamily experience who is motivated, organized, and ready to grow into a leadership role. The Assistant Community Manager plays a key part in leasing, resident relations, and operational support, helping maintain strong occupancy, deliver outstanding service, and foster a true sense of community.


What You’ll Do

Leasing & Marketing

  • Respond to phone and online inquiries to convert prospects into tours and leases
  • Conduct engaging property tours and effectively present apartment homes
  • Maintain strong conversion ratios (call-to-show and show-to-lease)
  • Follow up consistently with prospective residents
  • Maintain accurate traffic logs and enter all activity into the property management system daily
  • Ensure model units and tour paths are clean, presentable, and ready to show
  • Conduct weekly market surveys and quarterly competitive analysis
  • Support outreach marketing efforts and build relationships with local businesses
  • Manage and enhance the property’s online presence and reputation (Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

Resident Experience & Retention

  • Support resident retention efforts, including outreach for upcoming renewals
  • Assist with resident communications, newsletters, and community events
  • Address resident concerns professionally and promptly
  • Participate in and support resident events (attendance required unless approved otherwise)
  • Deliver a high level of customer service that reflects our commitment to community

Lease Administration & Operations

  • Process applications, conduct screenings, and ensure complete and accurate lease files
  • Coordinate move-ins, including inspections and welcome packet reviews
  • Enter and manage resident relations and service requests
  • Assist in resolving resident issues related to accounts, maintenance, or community matters

Financial & Administrative Support

  • Collect and post rent payments, fees, and deposits accurately
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting
  • Support the preparation of legal notices and eviction documentation when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures

Compliance & Training

  • Complete required Fair Housing training (initial and annual)
  • Adhere to all company training timelines and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required (college coursework preferred)
  • 2+ years of multifamily, leasing, or related experience
  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Yardi experience preferred
